Man United have eyes on Michael Olise ahead of the summer transfer window.
Manchester United Football Club need extra help in the final third. It’s quite clear that the Red Devils are inconsistent in that area of the field, with Erik ten Hag’s side not scoring anywhere near as many goals as last term.
That simply has to change if Ten Hag is to keep ahold of his job at the Theatre of Dreams. Planning for the summer is already well underway, with the 20-time Premier League champions already planning their summer transfer window.
Apparently, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise is among the names being considered.
It’s ESPN with the story, who claim that United are discussing a summer move to sign the 22-year-old right winger, while the club could send one player the other way as part of the deal; Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Olise is under contract for the next four years, while United have recently activated a one-year extension clause in Wan-Bissaka’s contract.
It does feel like Wan-Bissaka isn’t the ideal full-back for Ten Hag, despite the Englishman’s growth under the Dutch manager. In the long-term his future does lie away from Salford Quays.
The ex-Crystal Palace full-back could relish the chance to move back to the club that gave him so much as a youngster, while in Olise, United would be getting an absolute gem of a footballer.
I worry that United may find it tough to lure Olise to Old Trafford, purely due to the fact that there may well be no Champions League football on the table next season.
That said, he’d be an unreal signing if the club could somehow pull it off. He’d be worth every single penny.
