A move for Jadon Sancho has been the talk of the town for the last few months, as Manchester United look to find a solution for the transfer.
We’ve been all over this one from the get-go, covering every update, both negative and positive. Our stance hasn’t changed, Sancho will become a Red Devil at some point…
Several of those updates have come from Fabrizio Romano, who seems to be leading the way on this story. Yesterday, he took to Twitter to respond to a fan, confirming the latest…
Apparently, United and Dortmund are still in talks, trying to ‘resolve everything’ and ‘find a solution’. The main topic of discussion seems to be how much money will be paid upfront, and what will be available to Dortmund in terms of add-ons and instalments.
Apparently, both clubs continued talks yesterday, as they have been in talks every day recently – looking to finally reach some common ground and get this deal done.
My first impression is that there’s a willingness on both sides to complete the transfer. However, Dortmund have a valuation (around £108m), and they’re not budging from that.
COVID-19 hasn’t helped as United want to pay lower due to the lack of money being brought in to the club at the moment. The question is this, will the Reds pay or walk away?
In the end, United will get their man. Who knows, they may have to wait another summer if they firmly believe Dortmund’s valuation is too high. In twelve months’ time, Sancho may be worth half the £108m fee as he’d be entering into the final year of his contract.
Simply put, who is going to bend first?
