A Man United duo have been named in the latest BBC Team of the Week after the Red Devils beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
Manchester United made hard work of it in the end, though eventually, Erik ten Hag’s lads did get the job done. They beat Crystal Palace 2-1 to keep the momentum going.
The game itself was going well until the Casemiro sending off. That red card certainly made things interesting, though credit where it’s due, the lads stuck together and nudged over the line.
After the match, Ten Hag sounded delighted with the overall performance levels. I’d argue that this was one of the most complete performances United had put in until the red card, with the Old Trafford side in full control.
That second goal was a real thing of beauty. The perfect team move rounded off by Marcus Rashford – a striker who is in the form of his life.
For that individual display, Rashford is one of two United players who have been named in the latest BBC Team of the Week. David de Gea being the other.

Rashford’s all-round game has improved so much this season. Not only is he becoming a lethal finisher, but he’s also working harder than ever and he’s playing with a genuine smile on his face.
De Gea being the other inclusion is an intriguing one. He was rarely tested until the 75th minute, with the Spaniard called upon to make one truly spectacular save. Him being added to this team suggests that Crystal Palace were consistently troubling United with De Gea being the saviour, but that’s not really the case.
I’d also suggest Bruno Fernandes deserved a spot in this team. He was at the heart of everything good about United’s play, while he also scored a goal to set United on their way.
