Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire have been named in WhoScored’s Team of the Month for March.
Manchester United’s month of March was solid. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side solidified their position as the best of the rest behind Manchester City – as they now look to secure their place in next season’s Champions League.
The progress is there for all to see. This Reds team is certainly on the right path, though there is much work ahead for the Baby Faced Assassin and his coaching staff.
It’d be lovely to finish this season with a trophy, with the Europa League now our only shot at that. Well, our best chance at lifting the continental cup is by building from the back and keeping as many clean sheets. During March, our defensive players were actually pretty good.
That has led to a United duo being named in WhoScored’s Team of the Month for March following some excellent individual performances.
Check out WhoScored’s Team of the Month in full here:

First up, we have captain Harry Maguire, who scored a 7.48 rating on WhoScored’s metrics. That’s actually the highest rating from any of the four defenders who’d earn their way into this team. No doubt not conceding a Premier League goal inMarch was a major reason why he’s included.
Then you have Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose defensive work against Raheem Sterling was once again a massive factor in his inclusion here. Although you’d like to see more from the Englishman in the final third, credit where it’s due, Wan-Bissaka was outstanding when it came to stopping the ball from going into United’s net.
I’m actually shocked to see that Joao Cancelo had a better month than Luke Shaw. I would’ve for sure guessed that our left-back would have made the cut this month. Sadly, it wasn’t to be.
Congratulations, fellas!
