Man United enter race to sign talented 21-year-old right-back: report

Manchester United’s defensive struggles have been evident recently. Yet, a new problem position has emerged; right-back.

Antonio Valencia is ageing, while Ashley Young just isn’t a natural out there. That has led to the Red Devils’ seemingly considering dipping their toes into the water in that position.

The latest name to be linked with an Old Trafford move is the emerging Crystal Palace right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

That’s according to the Daily Mirror, who say United have joined other Premier League hot-hots in the race to sign the talented 21-year-old.

The Englishman has emerged as a truly elite full-back this term playing under Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace. Despite coming into this campaign as a relative unknown, you have to be mightily impressed with some of the performances that he is putting in.

First and foremost, I’d love to see Wan-Bissaka signed, I think he’s an absolute animal, but then, you think about Diogo Dalot. The young Portuguese man is equally talented and perhaps it’d be unfair to bring someone else in without giving him a real chance to prove his worth.

From now until the season’s remainder, give Dalot a run in the side and see what he can do before making a big splash on someone else.
