Manchester United Football Club have been pretty good when it comes to choosing their goalkeepers over the last half-decade. David de Gea is amongst the best in the business, while Dean Henderson continues to improve and grow. Then you have Sergio Romero; arguably the best back-up in world football.

However, the 20-time Premier League champions may have a problem on their hands. According to The Sun in an exclusive, United are expecting a pair of shot-stoppers to leave – with a list of replacements already drawn up.

Apparently, Sergio Romero and Lee Grant are set to exit, with United ‘fearing’ that they’ll have to sign two goalkeepers to replace them.

Romero has just a year left on his deal, but he’s desperate to leave in order to get first-team action. So-much-so that he’s planing talks to discuss his role at the club. The Reds do hold the option to extend his contract by a further year, so the ball is still in United’s court…

As for Grant, well, the 37-year-old has only played for United twice since his move to the club eighteen months ago and he’ll likely walk away for free. His deal expires in June and there have been no talks in regards to a new contract.

Although The Sun don’t name any names in regards to potential replacements, they do state that United are yet to decide upon Dean Henderson’s future, while don’t forget that Joel Pereria is still a Red Devil.

The club did also sign another goalkeeper in January in the form of Nathan Bishop – who is understandably excited about moving to Manchester.
