Man United are expecting to finalise a deal for Jadon Sancho after the European Championships.
Today’s the day when EURO 2020 finally kicks off. As per usual, Manchester United have several representatives at this major tournament.
Although Jadon Sancho technically isn’t one of them, Red Devils fans will be watching the young Englishman extra-closely this summer. Rumours have been plentiful already linking the 21-year-old with a move to Old Trafford. Those claims are only growing.
The latest story is a big one and it comes from The Sun in the form of an exclusive. Apparently, personal terms with Sancho are already agreed on a deal worth a huge £350,000-a-week.
Furthermore, United are expecting to finalise the signing of the world-class star after EURO 2020. As of right now, the Reds are locked in talks with Borussia Dortmund, who are holding out for a fee of £78m with a further £10m in add-ons.
In terms of a timeframe, United have to complete a deal before July 23rd, when Dortmund’s pre-season officially begins. That leaves United with twelve days after the EURO 2020 final to get the move completed.
You’d like to think that United’s long-standing interest in Sancho means all the groundwork with the players’ camp is all done and dusted. All this deal is waiting on is for the two clubs to agree upon a fee.
This time around, it feels much more likely that a deal will happen. Money at BVB is no doubt tight due to the global pandemic we currently find ourselves in and they may well be forced into selling one of their key stars.
With Sancho’s contract winding down, the German giants will never get a bigger fee for the winger than they will right now. I don’t want to curse it, but I’m feeling confident…
