Man United again call for Donny van de Beek to start

When signed, Manchester United fans thought Donny van de Beek was a certainty to start games. As of now, that hasn’t happened…

The Dutchman was signed from Ajax over the summer, with Van de Beek only being included from the off on three occasions. Two of which came in the Carabao Cup, while the other start came in the Champions League. We’re yet to see the Dutchman start a Premier League game.

Personally, that’s left me baffled. Van de Beek has greatly improved our overall style of play whenever he’s been out there on the field. Leaving that quality on the bench, particularly when other’s are playing poorly, just doesn’t send out the right message.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to start rewarding his players who are performing at a high level. What must Van de Beek be feeling right now…?

Well, we know what the fans are feeling towards the situation. Once again, they’re calling for the 23-year-old to start regularly after the poor 1-0 loss to Arsenal without him in the team.

Check out the tweets aimed at Donny van de Beek to start below:

This isn’t the first time United fans have claimed Van de Beek should be a regular starter, either. It doesn’t take a genius to work out his quality and what he brings to the table. Quite frankly, it’s madness that Van de Beek is yet to start a Premier League match.

The fans above highlighted it. Paul Pogba has been nowhere near good enough of late and he still is offered the opportunity to play week-in-week-out. Surely it’s only a matter of time before Solskjaer loses faith in the Frenchman?

I guess the good news is that Van de Beek feels like a guaranteed starter for our Champions League game on Wednesday. If he plays well there, surely he has to be involved from the off against Everton this weekend?
