Recently, we’ve covered stories from James Ducker in The Telegraph, which claimed that Matic was seeking a January exit. Well, with Jose Mourinho back in football at Tottenham Hotspur, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Matic has always been a Mourinho favourite. The Portuguese signed him at Chelsea, then again at Old Trafford. With just over six months left on his deal, perhaps the self-proclaimed Special One is going to make it a hat-trick?
Personally, I hope he does. Matic doesn’t want to be here anymore and United can no longer promise him game time. This will be the last chance the Reds have at recouping some of the £40m that they paid for him. Who knows, perhaps we could persuade Jose to include Eriksen in the deal…?
Anyway, as you’d expect, United fans have reacted in their droves to the news, and they’re all saying the same thing. Matic to Spurs in January seems like a no-brainer, right?
