Manchester United’s squad has scored a meagre twelve goals in twelve games this term. That stat alone highlights Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s biggest problem at present.
This club needs a deadly striker who can guarantee 20+ goals a season. Where better to look than the Baby Faced Assassin’s own country? As young sensationan Erlin Braut Haaland continues to impress.
The RB Salzburg man has scored 19 in 13 this term – a whopping 7 more than the United squad has scored altogether. Anyway last night, the talented teen added two more to his total against Napoli, further raising his profile.
Haaland’s stock is rising probably quicker than any of us expected and perhaps he could be looking at a move away sooner rather than later. Understandably, a club with United’s stature should be all over him the moment he becomes available – though without Champions League football to offer, that could be easier said than done.
That hasn’t stopped Reds supporters taking to social media and foaming at the mouth about Haaland. With the United fans foaming at the mouth, calling for the 19-year-old to be signed as early as January.
Surely Solskjaer has as good-a-chance as any at persuading his countryman to make the move to Old Trafford? On the flip side, Erling’s father, Alf-Inge, played for both Leeds United and Manchester City. He was also the man on the end of *that* tackle from Keano. Make of that what you will…
