Out of nowhere, Mauricio Pochettino was relieved of his Tottenham Hotspur duties. Now, he’s without work and presumably on the hunt for his next job.
For Manchester United, the Argentine has been amongst the list of targets for the last three managerial hires. Each time, the Old Trafford outfit chose to move in a different direction.
Now, though, with pressure growing on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after an incredibly average start to the season, the question has to be asked…
Would Pochettino improve this United side? After all, we’ve seen how brilliant he is with young players, so there’s every reason to believe he’d be a success in the long-term.
However, you do have to hold concerns about the fact that he’s yet to win a major trophy – despite coming oh so close to lifting the Champions League last term.
Anyway, the overwhelming feeling amongst the fans was one of positivity. Several took to Twitter, calling for the club to hire the ex-Spurs manager – preferably at the earliest opportunity…
I like Poch, I think he’d be a great addition. I also think it’d be unfair to sack Solskjaer at this point. He’s not even been in the job twelve months yet and the work he did in the transfer market was excellent. Why not give him some time to further build on that…?
