Amad Diallo was absolutely electric vs Wolves, with the fans recognising just how good he was.
Well, the Old Trafford faithful has been claiming that Amad Diallo has been ready for the first team for at least a few months. Yesterday, we saw exactly why the supporters have been clamouring to see the young Ivorian in action.
The young 18-year-old, signed from Atalanta, would make his first Premier League start against Wolverhampton Wanderers today. From first minute right until the last, Amad looked right at home in that starting line-up.
Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would win 3-1 and Amad didn’t score, his ability was clear for all to see. Intelligent passing, threatening run-making and excellent link-up play with his teammates. Amad was a constant problem for that Wolves defence.
He gives off the impression of someone who has always been the best player in his age group and that was clear for everyone to see. Despite being physically less capable than his more mature opponents, Amad absolutely held his own. As he fills out as he gets older, he’ll no doubt add that aspect to his game as well.
It was just a really positive display from first minute right until the last and it does make you wonder whether Solskjaer will chase Jadon Sancho as hard as they originally planned this summer. Would you really want to stunt Amad’s growth as a player? Because he looks like someone with extreme potential.
