This season has just been awful, hasn’t it? Jose Mourinho’s football has been turgid throughout his career, but teams have tolerated it due to the positive results that he usually delivers.
As we all know, barring a decent debut year at the helm, Manchester United have been struggling. Perhaps it all started with the poor summer transfer window in which the manager wasn’t backed, but this is a team that finished second last season.
I know the manager isn’t the only problem, but he’s the stem of the negativity thats around the place at the moment. The toxicity in the dressing room, the way in which he’s willing to blame everyone but himself, the poor style of football that we’ve already alluded to.
Mourinho hasn’t been the flavour of the month at all this season, and with each passing week, it feels as though another portion of fans are jumping on the Mourinho out bandwagon.
Losing to the old enemy has clearly tipped some reds over the edge, and after yet another god-awful performance I can no longer blame them. It’s just not good enough.
