Manchester United Football Club secured by far and away their biggest win of the season this afternoon – beating Tranmere Rovers 6-0 and booking their place in the FA Cup fifth round.
The Red Devils started slowly, but as soon as the first goal went in, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were in complete control. You had to be impressed given the horrendous pitch conditions, with several player’s standing out for their individual performances.
Although the Baby Faced Assassin didn’t rotate the squad that much, Diogo Dalot was amongst those who earned a rare start. The young Portuguese obviously has bags of potential, though injuries certainly have played their part.
Well, Dalot played today and put in a quality performance further up the field. He was quick, strong, tough in the tackle, capping off a top display with a stunning strike (see below).
At the very least, it gives Solskjaer another option on the right-hand side that has been somewhat a weakness for United at times this term. I just hope Dalot can now stay fit and get a good run of games under his belt.
As you’d imagine, Twitter was awash with Man United fans heaping praise on the 20-year-old – and rightly so. Check out the best tweets below:
