Man United fans identify two Brighton players who would improve Reds

Man United fans on Twitter believe a Brighton pair would make the Red Devils a better side…

Ralf Rangnick will now know just how great of a task he has on his hands. Make no mistake about it, this small rebuild simply won’t happen overnight.

Our problems were there for all to see against Newcastle United, with this Red Devils side looking nowhere near good enough against relegation fodder – never mind a top team.

While watching Brighton & Hove Albion take on Chelsea last night, fans couldn’t help but notice two Seagulls players who’d walk straight into our team; Tariq Lamptey and Yves Bissouma.

While it’s clear that Diogo Dalot has been good since Rangnick took charge, I think we’re all expecting some sort of slump from the Portuguese. While Lamptey, has been as impressive as ever, since returning from a lengthy injury lay-off.

The Brighton full-back is full of energy, dangerous in the attacking third and not a bad defender, either. He’s also young, with Rangnick making a name from working with the next generation.

As for Bissouma, the midfielder is everything you want in that holding role. He covers every single blade of grass for his teammates, while his passing is often accurate and crisp. He can chip in with a goal every now and then, too.

He’d be a direct upgrade on both Scott McTominay and Fred, which is pretty damning given we’re trying to fight for a title. Simply put, this squad still needs some work if we’re going to be serious contenders in major competitions.

While watching Lamptey and Bissouma against Chelsea yesterday, United fans identified the Brighton duo as players who’d improve us on social media. If you believe reports, the latter has already been linked with a move to the Reds in the past.
