Man United fans impressed with Dan James display for Wales vs Finland

Dan James started like a house on fire at Manchester United, now, a display vs Finland for his native Wales has left Reds supporters feeling positive.

A debut goal against Chelsea, followed by a stunning month of August. From that point on, though, James struggled to live up to the early hype for United.

Fans quickly turned on the winger, though I’ll be the first to admit he probably played way too many games early on in his Old Trafford career.

I still think there’s a talented individual in there who’s an excellent squad player to have. Well, last night, James backed that up with an excellent performance for his country.

Wales were playing Finaldn in a UEFA Nations League match, with the game tight at 0-0 going into the final 10 minutes.

A lovely run by James was spotted by a teammate, before the United man played an inch-perfect ball into the ball for Kieffer Moore, who duly slotted home and gave Wales all three points.

Not only that, though, it was a performance of real maturity from United’s number 21. He looked like a young man who was benefitting from rest – and maybe, just maybe, the Red Devils can reap those rewards in the 2020/21 term.

I’m a big believer in not only criticising players when they’re struggling, but praising players when they deserve it in equal measure. James was superb yesterday evening and he is rightly being lauded for it.

No doubt this will be a massive confidence-booster for the young man just a week before the new Premier League season gets underway. Hopefully, he can carry this form into the start of the season and make a real impact in his second term in Manchester.

Anyway, United fans in their droves were left impressed with the 22-year-old’s quality display for his country. We’ve compiled our favourite response below…
