Man United fans react to poor Dan James outing vs Leicester City

Man United fans were not happy with Dan James, after a pretty dismal outing vs Leicester City yesterday…

No doubt we’re all feeling a little flat still, particularly when Manchester United had their noses in front on two separate occasions. To throw away a couple of points in that manner definitely hurts, that said, the overall progress made by this United squad is there for all to see.

As per usual, Bruno Fernandes was amongst the standouts, while Edinson Cavani also impressed. However, there were a couple of poor individual performances, too, including one from Daniel James.

The Wales international has been hit and miss at Old Trafford, though yesterday he massively struggled. It just felt like every time James was on the ball, we were just waiting for him to give it away. Obviously, that’s just not good enough if you’re a side with genuine title aspirations…

There were just far too many occasions where James’ threat was non-existent. Yeah, I get he was sitting a little deeper than usual but I just have little-to-no-faith in James being able to produce the goods in such an important game.

For my money, we’re talking about someone who is a squad player at best. As an impact sub the young man has is uses, particularly when United are given the chance to counter-attack. To sum it up, he’s a very situational player…

You’ll see the fan reaction shortly, but this is a view that the majority hold. If James wants to make a name for himself at the Theatre of Dreams, he’ll have to start improving – and quickly…

As you’d imagine, United fans were left unimpressed with the 23-year-old against Leicester, with several supporters taking to Twitter to vent their frustration…
