Manchester United Football Club fixed some of their issues over the summer, mostly defensively.
However, there are still some gaping holes within this Red Devils squad and it’ll be a gradual, slow process as we look to build from the back.
For me, the most pressing matter isn’t midfield. It’s actually right-wing. Over on the left we have ample options including Daniel James, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. However, the right-hand side has been mostly filled in by stars playing out of position. That experiment hasn’t worked and it’s time to fix that void – for good.
There’s one obvious name that is on everybodies lips; Jadon Sancho. Last night, while playing for England, the mega-talented right-winger only reaffirmed that belief.
The 19-year-old left Red Devils fans gushing and dreaming that he could well be flying down that Old Trafford flank next season – and what a signing it would be if the club could pull it off…
First and foremost, United have to do their bit and secure a top-four finish. Without Champions League football on the table, we have absolutely no chance at signing Sancho in twelve months time. Let’s hope our league form picks up soon and at least we’ll give ourselves a shot at acquiring him…
