Angel di Maria’s time at Manchester United was massively disappointing. In the end, it felt like he’d completely given up on us and turned his back at the first sign of trouble.
There’s no doubt that moving to Paris Saint-Germain worked wonders for his career, I cannot fault him for that.
But, a few weeks ago, the Argentine was happy to give it out to the Old Trafford crowd; swearing at them, laughing as his side went 2-0 up. Oh, how he enjoyed it…
Well, last night, things were turned on their head. It was United who’d laugh last and in brilliant fashion, too. When the camera panned to the Argentine at full-time, it looked as though he was close to tears and I’m not alone in saying it was absolutely fantastic to see.
If you can give it, don’t get angry when you’re on the receiving end as well – because it’ll happen eventually, that’s the glorious thing about football.
United fans were absolutely loving it on social media; and rightly so. It was a night that’ll live long in the memory for us in a positive light, and once that Di Maria will forever look back on with sorrow. Brilliant!
