Man United fans left unimpressed with poor Wan-Bissaka display vs RB Leipzig

Aaron Wan-Bissaka left plenty to be desired vs RB Leipzig last night. It’s fair to say the Old Trafford Faithful were left mightily unimpressed…

Well, last night was certainly one to forget pretty quickly, ey Reds? Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of RB Leipzig.

Eventually, conceding goals early was going to come back and haunt us. You simply cannot give an opponent of Leipzig’s quality a three-goal headstart and expect yourselves to get out of that hole. Although United had chances late on, the damage was already done.

Poor defending in the first 45 was ultimately our downfall, with Leipzig simply shredding us down our right-hand side. Once again, Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s shocking positional sense cost us. I don’t know why, but the Englishman has developed a habit of tucking in way too deep, which just isn’t the way you should be defending; particularly in a back five…

It happened against Brighton and last night, Wan-Bissaka was exposed for it multiple times within the first 15 minutes. I’m particularly disappointed as he’s probably my favourite player at the club right now, though last night, it was an unforgivable performance from the 23-year-old.

The good news is that he’ll undoubtedly bounce back. Wan-Bissaka has been pretty consistent for the most part this season. Perhaps the rumours are right, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is apparently in the market for some real competition for the ex-Crystal Palace man. Maybe that’ll spur him on to put in better performances on a more consistent basis.

United fans understandably with left more than unimpressed with the star’s awful display last night. They took to Twitter in the masses to vent their frustration with The Spider…
