Man United fans were left impressed with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, following a top-quality performance vs Aston Villa.
The Red Devils have now confirmed their place in the top four, with four games remaining. A 3-1 victory over Aston Villa meant that City will have to wait for their title, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side coming from behind once again.
No doubt it’ll be Mason Greenwood who deserves all the headlines he’s getting this evening, but we’ve picked out Aaron Wan-Bissaka as our Man of the Match.
‘The Spider’ continues to drift under the radar as he has yet another solid season at right-back. On the day, Wan-Bissaka would pick up an assist for Mason Greenwood’s goal which placed United in the lead. However, it was the overall consistency that he played with that left us impressed.
We all know just how flawless Wan-Bissaka is in the tackle. In the one-on-one situation, he’s almost unbeatable, just ask Raheem Sterling all about that.
What I’ve been pleased with is that he’s slowly developing week-in-week-out. Aged just 23, the Englishman is still young enough to go right the way to the top and he’s clearly putting in the effort to do exactly that.
The one thing that often goes under the radar is Wan-Bissaka’s availability. He’s remained fit in a season where games come thick and fast, completely locking down that position for what feels like every single game. That sort of consistency and reliably often goes unnoticed and he deserves massive credit for that.
As you’d imagine, the Man Utd fans would laud the 23-year-old following his excellent performance vs Villa. You absolutely love to see it.
