Man United fans delighted with top Luke Shaw display vs RB Leipzig

Luke Shaw greatly impressed the fans vs RB Leipzig, with the Red Devils full of praise for the English defender in the aftermath.

Winning any Champions League game 5-0 is an achievement, but doing it against an RB Leipzig side who have been in top form is something that deserves massive praise.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got it tactically spot on at Old Trafford last night, while to a man, the Red Devils performed far better than their opposite numbers.

From Marcus Rashford’s stunning hat-trick, to Bruno Fernandes’ inch-perfect passing, United’s attack looked dynamite. What was equally excellent to watch was the defensive solidity from everyone, including Luke Shaw…

The English left-back has suddenly kicked it up a notch following Alex Telles’ arrival, performing at an incredibly high level. Last night was more of the same, with Shaw impressing on both sides of the ball.

Shutting down a fluid Leipzig attack isn’t easy. Shaw completely locked down his side of the field, while also playing his part in an attacking capacity, too.

His crossing was on-point, while his set-piece delivery was constantly threatening. It was a high-level display against a high-level opponent, which probably has Telles somewhat worried about breaking into the side.

We’ve all been quick to bash Shaw over the years, while injuries have been a persistent issue. It’s only right that we’re just as keen to praise him when he deserves it. Against RB Leipzig, he was definitely a Man of the Match contender.

That las led to fans being delighted with the 25-year-old’s top display, taking to social media in the masses to give him all the credit. Let’s hope that this is the start of his best season yet at the Theatre of Dreams…
