Manchester United made the best possible start upon their return to the Champions League. There were plenty of disgruntled fans when Paul Pogba went off injured, but we needn’t have worried due to a certain Belgian…
No sooner had Fellaini taken to the field, he was making a real nuisance of himself and causing the opposing midfielders havoc due to his sheer size and strength.
Jose Mourinho absolutely loves Fellaini and you can see why. If the former Everton man is utilised at the right time in the right system, he has the potential to be a game-changer, and today he was exactly that.
Not only did he score the opening goal, but he also tacked on an assist for Marcus Rashford – whilst dragging his teammates in the right direction.
Twitter was surprisingly full of support for the 29-year-old, and it was extremely nice to see the fans giving Fellaini their backing – rather than slagging him off endlessly. I just hope that he can keep up this form and prove to the Old Trafford crowd that he was a good buy by David Moyes.

Fellaini is a tactical weapon. Not a footballer.
