Manchester United kicked off their pre-season tour with an excellent 2-0 victory over A-League side Perth Glory.
The game itself was more about building up the fitness levels than the actual result, but it’s always nice to see a couple of goals scored in a winning match.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s high-pressing game worked a treat, with 23 Red Devils taking to the field due to the Baby Faced Assassin making changes aplenty at half-time.
The star of the first-half show was Daniel James, with the Wales winger putting in some excellent crosses while showing off his blistering pace.
In the second-half, though, it was Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s turn. The fans were thrilled to see United’s other new signing in action and he definitely didn’t disappoint.
We’ve compiled the best tweets about Wan-Bissaka here:
After shipping 54 league goals last season, United needed help defensively. Wan-Bissaka has already shown his capabilities in that regard with the Englishman winning 100% of his five tackles in just 45 minutes.
He was excellent in the slide tackle, brilliantly positioned and the 21-year-old was also willing to get forward and try get himself in on the attacking act.
It was just great to see United’s new right-back in action and I’m feeling positive about how his debut campaign at Old Trafford will go!
