I think it’s safe to say that Manchester United have already unearthed an absolute gem in Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Sure, we knew he was good, but blimey the impact he’s already making is borderline unbelievable. We haven’t had a right-back like this since Gary Neville hung up his boots almost ten years ago!
Today’s tour game against Leeds United was another step in the right direction as the lads build up those all-important fitness levels, with the 21-year-old the standout in the first 45 minutes.
Wan-Bissaka showed some nice touches on the ball, bombing forward and actually picking up an assist for the Mason Greenwood opening goal. Who says this boy isn’t good going forward??
Defensively, he was astute as you’d expect, winning tackles galore while not giving his marker any chance whatsoever at beating him. It really was a clinic defensively.
As you can imagine, the fans were buzzing on social media as the United summer signing played brilliantly against the old enemy Leeds… Check out the best reactions here:
Sure, it’s early days and yes it’s a pre-season friendly, but the intent is there from Wan-Bissaka. This boy knows how to play. If he can continue with these performances when the serious stuff starts next month when the fans are in for a right treat.
I’m already tipping Wan-Bissaka to end the 2019/20 season as the Reds Player of the Year…
