Man United fans react to Alejandro Garnacho display vs Rayo Vallecano

Man United fans were buzzing with what they saw from Alejandro Garnacho vs Rayo Vallecano on Sunday afternoon.

Just like that, pre-season has drawn to a close. The Erik ten Hag era officially begins in a weeks’ time, though the friendly matches have already taught us so much.

We’ve seen the regular faces looking sharp, though there has been room for some minutes for the younger players. Zidane Iqbal was the standout over in Australia, though today, it was Alejandro Garnacho’s turn.

The Argentine hadn’t been used much up until this point, though from minute one, the young man dazzled and shined in every way possible.

Slick skills, gliding past people with ease, threatening balls into the penalty area and performing with a general maturity beyond his years. It truly felt like a star had been born.

After scoring twice in the FA Youth Cup final, the question about whether Garnacho was ready to take it to another level and play in the professional game was a fair one. The 18-year-old has already begun to answer those questions with a truly brilliant outing at Old Trafford today.

Hopefully, this is the start of a long and great career for the Argentine here in Manchester. Under Ten Hag, I really do believe this young man is going to turn into an elite level player in the not too distant future.

As you’d imagine, United fans took to Twitter by the masses to react to the performance of the starlet vs Rayo Vallecano, who one fan believes he ‘must be involved’ in the first-team this season.
