Out of nowhere, Manchester United find themselves in seventh place in the table. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side made it four wins from five over the last few weeks – with this one probably the most convincing of the lot.
Credit to the Baby Faced Assassin and the squad for sticking together through the tough games, because now it certainly feels as though this Red Devils team is on the up.
Anyway, for me, the standout player on the day was Brandon Williams. The talented teenager made his full debut due to Ashley Young’s suspension and the young man certainly didn’t look out of place.
The teenager was calmness personified throughout, positionally excellent and a real presence in that left-back slot. Honestly, I struggle to see how Luke Shaw or the aforementioned Young are going to get back into the side.
Thankfully, I wasn’t alone in that regard with Man United fans buzzing all over Twitter about the starlet’s superstar display against Brighton.
One claimed he has a bright future, while the majority were marvelling at Williams’ excellent display. I’m just so pleased, there’s nothing better than seeing an academy product flourish in the first-team – and long may it continue.
