This is not a drill. Manchester United Football Club has signed a new player!
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given a huge lift, with Bruno Fernandes now in that dressing room, giving the Baby Faced Assassin another option in a real area of need.
The Red Devils have been without both Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba in the long-term, with the midfield burden placed upon those guys to return quickly. Well, that’s no longer the case as Fernandes’ numbers over in Portugal speak for themselves.
Sure, we have to curb our expectations as adjusting and adapting to a new league isn’t an easy thing to do. Fernandes is going to need time and we, as supporters, must afford him that luxury to benefit in the long-term.
This is a confident individual we’re talking about here and I’m positive he’ll feel up to the challenge – hopefully starting against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.
For now, we have to give Fernandes our full backing. Social media was awash with United fans who were (rightly) buzzing at their new addition. It’s a saga that has dragged on for quite a while, so the overwhelming feeling for me was one of relief. I’m just glad the deal is now done and the gossiping is over. It’s time for Fernandes to let his feet do the talking.
