Manchester United Football Club are now up to fifth(!). Out of nowhere, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are in the thick of it when it comes to challenging for a place in the Champions League.
Credit to the Baby Faced Assassin. Three excellent signings were made by the Norweigan, while he also has players who were already here playing considerably better stuff.
Amongst those who fall into that category is Fred. It’s fair to say the Brazil international has largely struggled since moving to Old Trafford, though over the last month or so, the performance levels have definitely increased.
Today against Burnley, Fred put in an absolute midfield masterclass. He kept things ticking over nicely with his excellent passing, desire to move forward and willingness to win.
Defensively, he was tough in the tackle and always looking to get his foot in and win back possession for his team. Slowly but surely, we’re beginning to see why United chose to spend £50million+ to sign him.
Anyway, Twitter was awash with United fans full of praise for the 26-year-old for the quality display. Hopefully, he can kick on from here and continue to improve as we head into 2020.
