Man United fans react to Marcus Rashford performance vs Newcastle

I never thought I’d say this but thankfully we’re at an international break. This Manchester United squad needs a serious break and they’re about to get a two-week hiatus here.

The Red Devils’ squad is injury-hit, low and confidence and they’re struggling. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has two weeks to draw up something special for the home game against Liverpool in 13 days time.

Anyway, back to the Newcastle loss for a second. When chance creation is at a premium, the onus is placed on your striker to carve out openings themselves and take those opportunities emphatically.

I know he cannot do everything on his own, but that’s just not the type of striker that Marcus Rashford is. Now I know he’s still young, but he was nonexistent against an extremely average Newcastle side yesterday. This is the price you pay when you thin out the first-team squad so dramatically.

We all know it’s going to take time and Rashford is doing it all on his own at the moment – though you have to say he isn’t doing it very well…

Anyway, United fans took to Twitter in their droves to react to the 21-year-old’s performance vs Newcastle. Some of these comments are rather harsh but at this point, they’re certainly justified…
