Man United fans react to news claiming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will keep his job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will keep his job for the weekend game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United Football Club are at a crossroads. Do they stick with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and keep the faith in the man who has improved this side? Or do the club realise he’s reached his limit and moved on?

Perhaps the obvious thing to do is bide some time and see how this one pans out, particularly with very little out there in the way of replacements.

This morning, Sky Sports News ran a story claiming that Solskjaer is expected to be in charge for United against Tottenham Hotspur this coming weekend.

Rightly or wrongly, that’s the decision taken by the board whether we like it or not. I’d suspect I’m in the majority when I feel like Solskjaer has taken us as far as he can. While we’re still somewhat in the hunt, it felt like the right time to make a change.

If this continues for another few games then we can likely forget about top four, never mind a genuine title challenge. That said, our job as supporters is to back the team and hope they can get the job done this weekend.

Obviously, the heavy defeat to Liverpool is as bad as it can get as a United fan. Coming back from that is not going to be easy. It’s also going to be intriguing to see how the players react. Do they still believe in the manager themselves or have they already downed tools?

As you’d imagine, the United fans would take to Twitter in their droves to react to this latest news… It makes for pretty grim reading if you’re a Soslkjaer fan.
