Man United fans were less than impressed with a poor Aaron Wan-Bissaka display vs Young Boys.
The result last night simply wasn’t important with United having already qualified. All eyes were on the overall performance from a much-changed side.
In truth, it was a pretty poor game. I expected to see more desire from Young Boys as they still had something to play for, but our young guns held their own pretty well.
Mason Greenwood felt like the standout performer, with the English potentially playing his way into Ralf Rangnick’s starting XI at the weekend.
On the flip side, though, the concerns are further being raised about Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The full-back left this game with injury, while the performance level wasn’t great…
The Englishman struggled positionally at times, while he was often pretty poor in possession. Attack-wise, Wan-Bissaka was an absolute non-factor, which isn’t ideal in an attack-minded Rangnick style of play.
Diogo Dalot definitely would have slept easy last night watching his teammate struggle, with the Portugal star arguably now the first-choice right-back – and that may well be the case for the foreseeable future.
My main issue is the lack of development. Whether that’s down to the previous coach and his staff, or a personal thing, we’ll find out in due course. I just thought Wan-Bissaka’s attacking output would have been a lot better at this stage in his career.
As you’d imagine, Man United fans were less than impressed with the poor performance from the 24-year-old. It really was a bad night for ‘The Spider’…
