It’s always good to see Manchester United fully fit and firing. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have endured a topsy-turvy season thus far, though tonight was certainly a positive evening for the Red Devils.
The 20-time Premier League champions secured their place in the Europa League knockout stages, and in some fashion too, winning 3-0.
All the front three put in excellent individual displays, though without question, the Man of the Match was Anthony Martial. The Frenchman has been in brilliant form this term – scoring goals galore when fit and played as the central striker.
Tonight was no different. The #9 held the ball up well, was willing to bring others into play and took his chance when it came his way – though it certainly wasn’t easy. Martial actually had to beat three Partizan defenders before poking the ball past an onrushing keeper. It was a super-classy goal that is certainly amongst United’s best this season.
Anyway, in the aftermath of the game, the Red Devils took to Twitter in their droves to praise the 23-year-old for his great display against the Serbian side. Hopefully, he can keep this form going into the weekend as we’re going to need him to break down a stern Brighton defence.
For now, I’ll leave you with the best tweets:
