Man United fans react to brilliant Fred performance vs RB Leipzig

Manchester United blitzed their German opponents 5-0 at Old Trafford last night, making it two wins from two in the Champions League. The standout performance, according to the fans, came from Fred vs RB Leipzig.

After signing from Shakhtar Donetsk, Fred often flattered to deceive. The Brazilian looked lost in the Premier League, while struggling to settle into life in Manchester.

However, an arm around the shoulder and a bit of faith from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has helped turn it all around. It all started for Fred during *that* night in Paris back in 2019. Since then, the Brazilian has improved ten-fold.

We’re now seeing the £50million player that we signed from Ukraine. Fred is playing confidently, covering every blade of grass and putting his body on the line for the cause.

Last night, he worked his socks off against a talented RB Leipzig midfield, winning the battle almost single-handedly at times.

What I was most impressed with was his passing, which has often left plenty to be desired. Last night, though, he was consistently finding his teammates in great positions, which was part of the reason why we ended up winning the game comfortably.

He’s a player that Solskjaer likes an awful lot and though he won’t often show up on the stats-sheet, Fred’s impact cannot be understated. Now, we’re seeing the absolute best of him.

Keeping the likes of Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek out of the side tells you everything you need to know. Fred has been instrumental to our success over the last eighteen months – and long may that continue.

The fans took to social media, full of praise for United’s unsung hero, and it was absolutely brilliant to see so many supporters giving the Brazilian the credit he deserves.
