Man United get big boost, key forward in training following injury

Manchester United’s season is pretty much over. The final two games are just a formality, and it looked as though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was possibly heading into those fixtures without either Romelu Lukaku or Marcus Rashford.

However, yesterday afternoon, United’s official website offered a big boost, as they confirmed that Rashford was actually in training and he’s seemingly available to go this coming Sunday.

After suffering a nasty-looking shoulder injury in the game against Chelsea, reports actually suggested that Rashford’s season was over. That obviously doesn’t seem to be the case and it feels as though the 21-year-old is now a shoe-in to get the nod in the striker role for Huddersfield Town away and Cardiff City at home.

It also looks as though the Englishman will be fit for Gareth Southgate’s England side ahead of the UEFA Nations League final taking place in Portugal over the summer.

Rashford has been nursing injuries since the Liverpool at home game back in February. It has been a real struggle for the striker since then, but credit where it’s due, he has battled through and continued to give absolutely everything for the cause.

Hopefully, once this season is complete he can rest up, enjoy international duty and get ready for pre-season. We’re going to need a fully fit and firing Marcus Rashford in 2019/20.
