Man United get double injury boost as star duo in squad to take on Juventus: report

It’s make or break for Machester United in the Champions League. We’re at the halfway point in the group stage, now, it’s time for the Red Devils to stand up and be counted.

Juventus away is the next game on the calendar, with United jetting out to Turin earlier today. Once again, the eagle-eyed reporters over at the Manchester Evening News have brought us some early squad news.

The first thing to note is that Romelu Lukaku has missed out, although there is a timely return for a key duo; Antonio Valencia and Marouane Fellaini.

Our Ecuadorian has emerged as the first-choice right-back, and having him ready to go and available means Jose Mourinho can rotate if he so chooses.

Then you have Marouane Fellaini. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that, before his injury, the Belgium international was our most consistent midfielder. Mourinho heavily relied on the ex-Everton man, so don’t be surprised to see him thrown straight into the deep end here.

Football, now more than ever is a squad game. Mourinho has ample options at his disposal, and that is a deep squad in pretty much every area. Juve are no pushovers, but I think we can perform better this time around and maybe snatch a point.
