Manchester United’s injury struggles have been well documented. Several players missed international duty, with the club hoping that at least some players could return for the Watford game this weekend.
Amongst those players was Romelu Lukaku. The in-form Belgian missed the Red Devils’ last outing against Wolves with a foot injury. He then would go on to miss two games for his country.
Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, the striker could now miss United’s upcoming fixtures against Watford and Wolves as he’s continuing his rehabilitation from the aforementioned foot issue.
Apparently, the problem is described as ‘unpredictable’ with no firm date given for when he should return. However, United will be hoping that Lukaku can get himself ready to take on FC Barcelona in the Champions League – which takes place a fortnight from today.
It’s a shame because United’s #9 had just begun to rediscover his brilliant goalscoring touch and now it leaves the club short in a key area of the field.
The manager will now be hoping that either Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial can get themselves fit and ready for action as both can start as the main striker.
