Man United get injury boost as key trio back in training ahead of AC Milan game

The injury gods were seemingly shining brightly upon the AON Training Complex on Tuesday.

Tomorrow, Manchester United take on AC Milan in an all-important Europa League encounter. The game is knotted at 1-1 going into the second leg against the Serie A giants.

In the first match, both sides were decimated by injury. In the end, it’s fair to say the Italian team looked the most impressive out of the two. Though this time around, both sides have numerous players returning.

It certainly looks like Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be lining up for Milan, though for United, they’ve been given a massive injury boost, with a key trio pictured back in first-team training ahead of the game.

Yes, that’s right. Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek were all back in the mix.

The trio have missed some massive games over the last fortnight-plus, but the good news is they’re all back out on the training field, building up their fitness levels ahead of a huge end-of-season run.

Whether any of them are feeling fresh enough to start against Milan remains to be seen, but I’d expect we’ll see at least one or two amongst the substitutes bench.

Unfortunately, the one I think we won’t see on Thursday is Pogba. He’s been out the longest and honestly, I can see United giving him until after the international break before he’s back out on the pitch in a competitive game.

Hopefully, these guys can get up to speed quickly because we’re definitely going to need them for the huge games on the horizon.

Welcome back, fellas!
