Man United give up pursuit of talented English duo: report

Although the summer transfer window isn’t even close to being open, it seems as though Manchester United’s pursuit of two extremely talented Englishmen is already over…

That’s according to a report from the Daily Mail, who say that the Red Devils are already to give up in the chase in pursuit of both Jadon Sancho and Callum Hudson-Odoi as their respective clubs aren’t willing to sell.

Sancho, in particular, has been heavily linked with a potential move to the theatre of Dreams after a simply sensational season in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

To hear that United have already stopped pursuing these wingers is extremely disappointing. Right-wing is an area of real need for the Red Devils. Heck, that has been the case probably since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club…

I guess there is one positive we can take from this, though, is the fact that the news has been delivered early, leaving United with ample time to weigh up and assess other options.

Hopefully, the club don’t completely give up the chase for a right-sided attacker because all our best moves seem to come down that left side, and if only we had equal quality opposite, our attack would be a much bigger threat to opposing back lines.
