Man United get Eric Bailly injury boost ahead of WBA game

Manchester United have been given an injury lift, with Eric Bailly back in contention ahead of the game against West Bromwich Albion.

Games like tomorrow are absolute must wins. Whatever team Ole Gunnar Solskjaer puts out there. Whatever system the gaffer decides to go with. We simply have to put another three points on the board.

It’s always nice, though, when our Baby Faced Assassin has a multitude of options in various positions. Season’s like this one, where games are coming thicker than faster than ever, it’s about having a big squad. Well, ahead of said game tomorrow, we have a certain individual ready for action once again.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Solskjaer confirmed the injury boost, as 26-year-old Eric Bailly is fit to take on WBA – should the Norwegian decide to utilise him, of course…

Check out what Solskjaer had to say on the Bailly injury here:

“Eric is available. He has trained for a couple of days so he’ll be available for selection. So that’s a positive.” Solskjaer told reporters, including ManUtd.com.

Apart from that, no-one else is back.“

For me, Bailly is still the best partner we have for Harry Maguire. The Ivorian has pace, desire and a willingness to put his body on the line. The problem? He’s never able to keep himself fit.

Centre-back pairings is arguably the most important relationship on a football field. It’s about knowing where your teammate is at all times and covering their weakness. Those combinations can only grow by playing together week-in-week-out.

This season has been Bailly’s best in years in terms of staying fit, which tells you everything you need to know about how injury prone the former Villareal man is. I’d like to hope that the worst is now behind him, but Bailly is sadly not someone you can rely upon.

That said, I’d still chuck him in there and hand him the start tomorrow!
