Man United given green light to move for £60million left-back in January

Manchester United have been given the green light to move for Juventus left-back, Alex Sandro, according to the Daily Mirror.

The fee being mentioned in the report is £60million, which is a colossal amount, particularly for a defender.

Jose Mourinho apparently has the Brazilian on his transfer wishlist, with Juventus considering selling Sandro, after a dip in form this season.

Left-back has presented Manchester United with some huge problems recently, with the club not really settling on a regular player ever since Patrice Evra left.

Right now, Ashley Young is doing a superb job out there, but he’s certainly not a long-term solution.

Then you have Luke Shaw who has put in a couple of excellent performances over the last fortnight. You still get the feeling that Mourinho doesn’t fully trust the former Southampton man for whatever reason, though, so don’t be surprised if United do make their move for Sandro.

He’s a player that I like, and I think he’d add an extra dimension to the United squad; particularly in attack. Modern-day full-backs have an extra duty to get forward these days, and Sandro would definitely contribute on both sides of the football. Now, it’s just a question of tempting Juventus into parting with him.
