Manchester United did remarkably well to come from 2-0 down in the dying embers of the game at home to Burnley, although it was disappointing to only claim a draw.
After the game, Paul Pogba was spotted limping as he seemingly picked up an injury in the clash. That didn’t stop him battling through, though, as he scored the all-important penalty to get United back on the right track. Can you imagine that happening under Jose Mourinho? I certainly can’t…
Anyway, it seems as though the issue is more than just a little knock, with ESPN now reporting that United are sweating on Pogba’s fitness ahead of their trip to Leicester City on Sunday…
The report also says that United will ‘check on’ Anthony Martial, where there are also concerns about Jesse Lingard’s health, who was only fit enough for a spot on the bench in midweek.
Let’s be honest, we’d struggle if Pogba was missing for any prolonged period of time. The Frenchman is by far and away our best player and he’s in stunning form at the moment. It’s these tricky away games where players like him can truly make the difference. Even if he’s only at 50%, it’s better having him available because he’s just a truly world-class footballer.
Hopefully, he and the other lads can pull through and get themselves out on the pitch this Sunday.
