Man United handed transfer boost as club are prepared to sell Red Devils summer target: report

Manchester United Football Club could have just been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of AS Monaco star, Thomas Lemar. That’s what The Sun write anyway because apparently, the Ligue 1 side are willing to part with the brilliant Frenchman this summer.

The article states that previously, Monaco weren’t going to sell the 21-year-old, but now their plans have changed and Lemar could well be on his way out. Although, United won’t have it all their own way with Arsenal reportedly keen on acquiring the left-winger.

Manchester United’s interest in the starlet was reported by the media just last week, and now this latest news could well convince both Edward Woodward and Jose Mourinho to reinforce that interest with an official bid.

It comes as no secret that the gaffer wants to bring in a new winger this season, and Lemar would certainly be an excellent option if the deal could be done.

However, after the start to the season that both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have made, I’d be thinking twice about making a move for another left-sided attacker.

We have to be pleased with the displays put in by the aforementioned duo and bringing someone else in can only hamper their development.
