Manchester United Football Club have expressed an interest in Tottenham Hotspur attacker, Heung Min-Son.
That’s according to Sport1, translated by The Metro. However, they aren’t alone in their pursuit of the 25-year-old, with Liverpool and Arsenal also keen.
Apparently, Jose Mourinho is in the market for a new attacker, to replace Anthony Martial, who wants out of Old Trafford this summer. Obviously, losing the Frenchman would be a massive blow as he’s immensely talented, but there is just no sense in keeping three left-sided players at the club.
Although Son prefers to cut in from that flank, his versatility means he can play all across the front line. The report claims that the man from South Korea is open to leaving White Hart Lane this summer, which is good news for any potential suitors.
The fact that he’s great off either foot, a brilliant passer of the football and a hard-worker, I see him as the ideal Mourinho player, and I can certainly understand the interest in signing him.
However, Spurs are notoriously tough business negotiators and he’d certainly cost a pretty penny. It’s going to be intriguing to see if United can lure him North to Old Trafford.
