Man United have inquired about Marcel Sabitzer, pushing for a transfer

Man United have inquired about Marcel Sabitzer and they’re pushing for a transfer.

Manchester United Football Club are now looking light in midfield following an injury to Christian Eriksen.

With time running out in the transfer window, the Old Trafford club would have to act quickly to get a deal done. Though Erik ten Hag has remained firm in his belief that he’ll only move for the right player.

United are still doing their due diligence and looking to see who is out there, with Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer’s name the latest to be linked.

It’s Florian Plettenberg with the claim, suggesting that United, along with Chelsea, have inquired about signing the 28-year-old today. The pair of English clubs ‘push for a transfer now’, with Bayern in talks with the sides.

Sabitzer is a central midfielder, who would be a lovely short-term replacement for the injured Eriksen.

The man from Austria has found playing time relatively hard to come by since moving to the Bavarian club from RB Leipzig. He could well be interested in a part-time transfer away from Bayern, in order to prove his worth to the club that currently owns him.

Honestly, this feels like an astute signing. United should only move for the right player, though Sabitzer is someone who would offer an awful lot to this side over the next six months.

My concern is that United aren’t wanting to spend money at this point due to the impending sale of the club. They’re looking to keep the bank balance as healthy as possible and I worry they will not sanction this move…

Will this deal get done? Well, I guess we’ll know at some point today.

Do you think a Man United move for Marcel Sabitzer would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
