Man United have asked Reims about their young striker, Hugo Ekitike.

Ralf Rangnick told the media he’d hope to sign two forward men this summer, with Hugo Ekitike one potential option. The Old Trafford club were named as one of the sides interested in the Frenchman just last week.
ESPN’s Julien Laurens has now claimed United have taken their keenness on Ekitike one step further.
Apparently, the Old Trafford club have ‘made an enquiry’ about the possibility of signing the 19-year-old striker, who has ten goals for Reims across all competitions this summer.
However, United will not have it all their own way, with Bayern Munich also taking a liking to the exciting teenager. Arsenal are also credited with interest.
According to the report, Ekitike would cost just £12.8m, which would be a steal if the Frenchman reaches his full potential. Understandably, there’s always risk involved when signing younger players.
The Old Trafford club are looking to get younger up top, with Ekitike fitting the bill perfectly in that regard. Apparently, an approach was made to the player’s representatives to find out his plans for next season – though it remains to be seen whether Ekitike is on Erik ten Hag’s list of possible signings at United.
ESPN sources add that despite multiple sides declaring their admiration for the player, Ekitike is yet to make a firm decision on his future.
