Man United are once again being linked with a move to sign Erling Haaland.
Manchester United Football Club have certainly been better this season, though there’s still much work ahead for Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side.
Amongst the top priorities has to be signing a new striker, with Erling Haaland’s name constantly popping up on the back pages these days. The latest Haaland report comes from Sport (Saturday print edition) transcribed by Sport Witness.
The report actually discusses the prospect of Haaland signing for FC Barcelona, though typically, United get a mention as per usual. They state that United ‘have moved’ to sign the emerging 20-year-old, although there’s no concrete information in regards to what that means.
One thing we do know is that United will face stiff competition to sign Haaland, with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Chelsea all getting a mention.
Check out the AS spread on Haaland here:
We’re talking about the hottest prospect in world football right now. Haaland would improve any side in world football so it’s absolutely no surprise that United are keen on adding him.
I’ll be honest, it still stings that Haaland chose Borussia Dortmund over us back in January 2020 because now, the competition to sign the 20-year-old has only increased.
The good news is that there aren’t many bigger clubs in world football than United. Whether that’s enough to get the deal done remains to be seen, though you’d hope by that point, we have at least a couple more major trophies under our belts.
There is one negative, though, with Mino Raiola working as Haaland’s agent. He’s an absolute nightmare to deal with, as we’ve learned with the Paul Pogba situation…
