Man United have no intention of letting Paul Pogba leave this summer: report

Manchester United Football Club had a weird summer transfer window. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed three top-class players, while Romelu Lukaku was allowed to leave.

The fans were expecting a bigger overhaul than what unfolded at Old Trafford, though many thought a certain Frenchman would be out of the exit door after admitting that he’d like a ‘new challenge’…

Well, the latest on that front is that United have no intention of letting the 26-year-old Paul Pogba leave this summer, per The Guardian.

Furthermore, United will not entertain any offers before the European transfer window closes later this month. The thought process behind it is that the 20-time Premier League champions would have no opportunity to sign a replacement.

The article also states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considers Pogba ‘central’ to his plans this season, while being encouraged by his attitude and application.

It goes without saying that losing Pogba at this stage would be a huge blow. Even though he has remained consistently inconsistent during his time in Manchester, he’s still by far and away the Reds’ best midfielder. We’re going to need a big season out of him if the Baby Faced Assassin plans on having any success over the next nine months.
