At this stage, all roads point to a Man United move for a new centre-half, enter Nikola Milenkovic.
From Victor Lindelof’s nervousness to Harry Maguire’s mistake-making, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has some tough decisions to make regarding his backline.
Goals at the other end haven’t been a problem. It’s stopping them going in that’s the reason why we’re probably already playing for second place. Our Baby Faced Assassin has to solve those problems if we’re to make a serious charge at the title in 2021/22.
Now, according to Sky Sports’ Max Bielefeld, Nikola Milenkovic is on the Red Devils’ radar.
Apparently, United have recently been in touch with the agent of the 23-year-old, though they’ll face stiff competition for his signature, with both Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund keen.
Milenkovic, who is valued at just over £30m (€33m), is someone who has vastly improved recently, hence why the so-called ‘big clubs’ are now starting to take serious notice.

This isn’t coincidental. Just a couple of days ago, we covered a claim from Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy, who also confirmed United interest in Milenkovic.
In our opinion, that United interest is genuine. Now, it’s trying to work out whether the Old Trafford club are keen enough to make an official bid. I guess we’ll learn that in due time.
Whether or not acquiring Milenkovic will make a difference to this team is guesswork. He’s never played in England while the Serbia international is still developing as a player. One thing I will say is that it’s probably worth the gamble. After all, the best pairing United can put out there right now, Lindelof and Maguire, simply isn’t good enough.
At some point, that partnership will have to be permanently split up. Hopefully, this summer.
