Man United hit with another injury fear as international break starts: report

Manchester United and Jose Mourinho could have been hit with another injury fear, with Phil Jones not taking part in a training session for England today. That’s what Sky Sports say, as per the Manchester Evening News.

Jones, 25, missed United’s trip to CSKA Moscow just under a week ago, before being touch and go to play against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Thankfully the Three Lions star came through that game against Palace unscathed; or so we thought.

The fact that he has missed England’s first training session must be a concern, but, hopefully, it’s just a precaution more than anything else as he looked fine to me at full-time at the weekend.

United’s centre-back has been in sensational form to start this season, and in my opinion, this is probably his best injury run in quite some time. He tends to pick up little niggles quite often.

But, the good news is that United now don’t play for another twelve days. This will give the centre-half ample time to get himself back to 100% fitness. England boss Gareth Southgate will have to monitor him until then, and if he isn’t fully fit to play for the Three Lions, he should just come back to Manchester so he doesn’t aggravate any issue he may have.
